Retro Roundup bundles 11 Toy Story and Pixar classics while Toy Story 3: Complete Edition remasters the 360-era favorite for the 30th anniversary.
Two releases, one day
Digital Eclipse — the studio behind the Gold Master Series and the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection — is launching two Toy Story packages on October 15, 2026, timed to the franchise’s 30th anniversary: Toy Story: Retro Roundup, a collection of classic Toy Story games, and Toy Story 3: Complete Edition, a full remaster of the beloved 2010 game.
What’s in Retro Roundup
The collection bundles 11 classic Toy Story and Pixar titles, including the 1995 Genesis original, Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (PS1), Toy Story Racer (PS1), Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and A Bug’s Life as a bonus game. Digital Eclipse says the set spans PlayStation, SNES, Game Boy, and platforms that were “difficult to access on modern hardware” — which is exactly the kind of preservation work this studio exists for.
Toy Story 3: Complete Edition
The remaster targets the Xbox 360-era Toy Story 3 — widely considered the best Toy Story game ever made — and it’s the definitive version: all of the PS3-exclusive content is included on Xbox for the first time. The expansive Toy Box sandbox mode and local multiplayer made this one special, and Digital Eclipse’s track record suggests this will be the best way to play it going forward.
The delisting sting
There’s a catch, and it’s worth knowing: Disney has been delisting the original versions ahead of the remasters — including Toy Story 3 and two PS1 classics from PS Plus Premium. Most buyers would pick the remaster anyway, but there’s one rough edge: the pulled PS Plus version of Toy Story 3 was the PSP adaptation (made by Asobo, of all studios), while Complete Edition is based on the console version. They’re different games, and PSP owners have no way to get theirs back. Preservation giveth, and licensing taketh away.
The bottom line
This is Digital Eclipse doing what it does best — rescuing good games from dead hardware and giving them a proper home. Eleven classics plus the definitive Toy Story 3, all on modern platforms, right on the 30th anniversary. Just buy sooner rather than later: as the delistings prove, the old versions aren’t sticking around.
