Sony’s three PlayStation Plus monthly games arrive October 6 and remain claimable through November 2, giving subscribers racing, extraction horror, and co-op action in one lineup.

F1 25 headlines October's PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup.

The three October monthly games

  • PS5F1 25 — the current Formula 1 racing entry.
  • PS5Hunt: Showdown 1896 — competitive extraction shooting with a horror edge.
  • PS4 / PS5Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 — blocky, squad-based alien defense across both console generations.

The lineup spreads its value across different moods instead of concentrating on one genre. F1 25 covers focused racing, Hunt brings high-stakes multiplayer, and World Brothers 2 offers the only cross-generation option in the group.

Two deadlines matter

October’s games can be claimed from October 6 through November 2. Before that lineup rotates in, members have until October 5 to claim September’s monthly games.

Adding a monthly game to the library during its claim window is the important step. Players do not need to finish—or even start—it before November 2.

Extra and Premium come later

This announcement covers the monthly games available to PlayStation Plus members. The separate Extra and Premium Game Catalog additions are scheduled to be announced on October 14.

That creates a two-stage month for subscribers: claim the three monthly games first, then check back for the wider catalog reveal.

The bottom line

October’s trio is easy to sample because each game serves a different kind of session. The immediate move is to claim any September games by October 5, then add all three October titles once they become available on October 6.
